Once a year, Main Street in Medford will be transformed into a quaint winter wonderland, featuring holiday festivities galore with an old-time flair. The festival is free and typically attracts more than 10,000 people from Medford and many surrounding communities. Locals never fail to catch up with old friends on the street; there’s something for everyone! This event is hosted by the local business owners that form the Main Street Merchants.

Hold onto your jingle bells, because the most anticipated moment of the festival is about to unfold in a truly enchanting way! πŸŽ„πŸŒŸ Santa Claus himself will make a grand entrance, riding in style on a horse-drawn carriage as he leads our dazzling Santa Parade. The festivities will kick off at aprox 4:30, starting from Harriets Oil and making its merry way down to the heart of the action, the Gazebo. Time is aprox within 20 min, Santa’s arrival from the North Pole often has unforseen delays!

πŸŽˆπŸŽ‰ The Parade Delight: Picture it – the sound of hooves, the jingle of bells, and the excitement building as Santa’s entourage parades through the streets, spreading holiday cheer to all in its path. 4:30pm

Copper wire, wood base. I created this piece in late 2008. For this work, I aimed to convey both the industrial heaviness of an airplane, but also the cloudlike floating quality you feel when you’re in one.
